Wednesday, February 16, 2011
The air crash that killed all 14 passengers and crew aboard a small plane early this week has reopened the debate on the need for a new airport in Honduras.
The crash happened near Tegucigalpa’s Toncontín aiport, rated as the world’s second most dangerous due to its surrounding hills.
Over the last 40 years, 268 deaths have occurred in central Honduras, near Toncontín.
