APM Terminals faces challenges with Costa Rica port

The following months will be a test for Netherlands-based APM Terminals, the company in charge of building and managing Costa Rica's port of Limón.
The firm has a six-month deadline to prove the $500-million project is not harmful to the local environment, geology and to the surrounding communities.
But port workers' unions have been protesting against the project, saying it will harm local turtle habitats, coral reefs, as well as cause the loss of hundreds of jobs.
