Banking boosts Honduras economy

Honduras's economic activity index grew 2.6 percent from January to April this year, boosted mainly by the banking sector, according to the Honduran central bank.

The figure shows a 0.4 percent growth compared with the 2.2 percent for the same period las year.

Other sectors that contributed to growth were agriculture, farming, fishing and telecommunications.
