BCIE lends $200 million to Nicaragua

Representing more than $200 million in project finance, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) signed off on two loans arranged with the Nicaraguan government, aimed at strengthening the competitiveness and productivity of the country.

The larger of the two loans provides $177 million in financing for a road extension and improvement program, while the second directs $25.3 million to the Costa Caribe Sur airport project, BN Americas reports.
