BCIE to finance Guatemala's first wind farm

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration approved a $50.7 million credit line to help finance Guatemala's first wind power project.

The funds will go towards the construction of the San Antonio El Sitio wind farm, which has a total cost of $84 million.

The rest of the cost will be covered by Guatemalan banks G&T Continental and Banco Agromercantil.
