Business leaders in Honduras want their country to have a free trade agreement with China similar to Costa Rica’s accord with the Asian giant.
Currently, the Hondurans are changing the focus of their trade missions with China. In the past they bought buyers, in place of sellers.
“China has traditionally competed with Honduran products, but now this is a market of consumers with $5,000 per year each, said Jesús Canahuati, a leading businessman of the Honduran textile and garment industry.
