CABEI reinforces regional development commitment

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration reinforced its commitment to support projects for the development of the region.

Last year, the bank and the region had to face global challenges, but the bank maintained its support to the region's countries, said Nick Rischbieth, president of the bank.

During 2013, the bank handed out $1.4 billion, mainly for projects related to tackling poverty, regional integration, and boosting the countries' competitiveness in the global economy.
