Canadian Solar supplies major Nicaragua plant

Canadian Solar, the largest North American solar manufacturer, delivered 3.1 megawatts of panels for a power plant in Nicaragua.

The Planta Solar Zona Franca Astro Nicaragua in Tipitapa, near Managua, will supply about 30 percent of the power for 26 companies in an industrial park, Canadian Solar said today in a statement.

The project is expected to be finished this year and will be the largest private solar farm in the country.
