Chilean companies have sights set on Central America

Central America accounts for only 1.5 percent of all Chilean foreign investment, but a small group of companies have spotted its potential.
They include the construction company Salfacorp, the auto industry’s Gildemeister, and two pharmacy chains, Cruz Verde and Socofar.
So far about 30 Chilean companies have invested in Central America, most of them in Panama.
