Coffee exports from Honduras surge by 25 percent
Tuesday, June 5, 2012
Coffee exports from Honduras has risen by 25 percent in the current harvest, reports the nation's coffee institute, Ihcafé.
In May alone, Honduras exported 837,000 bags of 60 kilos, a 51 percent increase on the same month of last year.
Ihcafé claims that the growth is due to the increase in the amount of land planted to coffee in recent years.
