Commodities give kick-start to Guatemala’s economy

The high international prices of coffee, sugar, cardamom and rubber are boosting producers in Guatemala.

Rubber prices in Thailand, the world’s leading producer, rose to more than $6.12 per kilogram due to higher demand in China.

The world’s economic recovery and climate uncertainty have boosted all of Guatemala’s commodities.
