Costa Rica has more than 8,000 hectares of organic crop production

Costa Rica has dedicated a part of its territory to the planting of organic products in areas such as Talamanca, Alfaro Ruiz, Turrialba, Zona Norte, Cartago, among others.
Nowadays it has approximately 8,000 hectares devoted to the production of these crops and more than 3,000 producers responsible for providing fully certified organic products both domestically and internationally.
The offer is broad, and more than 36,000 tons of certified products were exported last year with a value exceeding $26 million.
