Costa Rica has the best paid executives

With earnings close to $6,500 a month, Costa Rican executives are the best paid in Central America, according to the 2018 Compensations and Benefits report, of consulting company PwC.
This is nearly twice as much as the $3,800 average compensation in Nicaragua, last in the ranking.
In Central America overall, executives earn an average of $5,700 a month.
PwC received data about executive remuneration from more than 1,000 companies in the Isthmus (numbers in brackets indicate the average salary of executives in dollars rounded to the nearest hundred).
