Costa Rica is regional leader in online shopping

Costa Rica is Latin America's leading country in terms of income generated through online exports, according to a study by Radius Global, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

The study looked at 400 small and medium companies from seven countries in the region, and showed that 49 percent of the analyzed companies' income came from online shopping.

Costa Rica beat regional powerhouses such as Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru.
