Costa Rica leads mobile invasion

Mobile penetration in Costa Rica grew 333% during the past three years, more than any other country in Latin America, according to the latest "Mobile Invasion" report, published this month by GuiaLocal.

El Salvador is second, with a growth rate of 162%, while Honduras is last in Central America, at 118%.

In Latin America, Brazil and Argentina complete the top three.

Uruguay is last, with 20%.

The study analyzed 60 million internet visits from mobile devices in Latin America (figures reflect the growth rate of each country in Central America).
