Costa Rica received $1.06 billion in foreign direct investment this year through June. Target for full year is $1.85 billion

Costa Rica received $1.06 billion in foreign direct investment during the first half of the year, representing an increase of 45 percent over the same period of 2010.
The official target for the whole of this year was $1.85 billion.
Last year, the country received only $729 million in investment, 29 percent of which was by companies setting up in free trade zones.
