Costa Rica's ambassador to Beijing says that China is pressuring for work visas

Costa Rica's ambassador to Beijing, Antonio Burgues, has condemned the pressure brought by a Chinese diplomat in Costa Rica to secure 100 working visas for Chinese workers Burgues, identifying the diplomat as commercial attaché Mao Furong, slammed "another case of unwelcome intervention”.

The pressure from Beijing began after the Costa Rican labor minister, Sandra Piszk, sent a request to the immigration service not to give visas to for the Chinese construction workers.
