Costa Rica’s mega-port plan has overwhelming support
Wednesday, October 5, 2011
Public opinion in Costa Rica is very favorable to the plan to build a huge container terminal at Moín in Limón.
By contrast, there is overwhelming disapproval of the trade union’s opposition to the plan for a concession.
The contract, awarded to Holland-based APM Terminals, is for the construction of a $1 billion investment. Almost nine in 10 people who said they knew about the project said in a CID Gallup that it would be of benefit to the country.
