Costa Rica's tax haul is the poorest in seven years

In yet another tale of woe over the fiscal problems faced by Costa Rica, the first four months of the year were the worst in seven years in terms of growth in tax revenue as a result of slower economic growth.
The central bank's forecast is that the deficit will close next year at 7.9 percent, above the 7.1 percent of this year.
