Costa Rica unemployment surges to 10.4 percent

Unemployment rose to 10.4 percent in Costa Rica, according to the national statistics institute.
The proportion of jobless rose from 8.6 percent to 10.4 percent between mid-2010 and the first quarter of this year, though the second quarter saw a slight decline.
The sectors with positive changes were in agriculture and livestock, while construction began to show a positive rebound over the past year.
