Costa Rican pineapple producers fear job losses

Costa Rican pineapple producers emphasised the risk to their sector of losing jobs and foreign exchange after a change in the rules for the inspection of fruit that is ready for export.
According to Abel Chaves, president of Canapep, changing the process will cause delays in shipping, which will generate huge losses for domestic producers.
