Costa Ricans expect surge in value of US dollar in 2017

Some 63 percent of Costa Ricans believe that the value of the US dollar will rise next year by comparison with the colón. Only three months ago, less than 55 percent of those surveyed expected an increase in the rate for the dollar.

Business leaders say they want a free exchange rate to be continued throughout 2017.
