Duke Energy to sit tight on international assets, including generation in Guatemala and El Salvador. No plans for sell-off

\ Duke International Energy has allowed parent Duke Energy to meet its earnings targets, according to the latter's chief executive, Jim Rogers.\ \ The generation assets of Duke International Energy, in megawatts, include Brazil (2,3100), Peru (638), Argentina (523), Guatemala (328), El Salvador (324) and Ecuador (136).\ \ Duke International Energy has been a very successful operation and the parent company is not currently entertaining any offers or any discussions with respect to the purchase of those assets, Rogers said when asked if there were plans to offload assets in Latin America.\ \ Original source: Business News Americas\ \ \ \
