El Salvador breaks relations with Taiwan

El Salvador has broken diplomatic relations with Taiwan in order to establish ties with China, announced president Salvador Sánchez Cerén.

The Central American nation established relations with Taiwan in 1941 and has been one of its assiduous admirers in areas such as Technology, health forming and education.

El Salvador has thus joined a growing tendency of nations that have broken in the last year or so with Taiwan and joined with China, including the Dominican Republic and Panama.
