El Salvador joins regional progress to more renewable energy

El Salvador has joined Central America’s overwhelming trend toward renewable energy, by adjudicating 120 megawatts of solar power and 50 from wind.

Twenty-nine companies presented bids in the auction. The winners were Capella Solar, a Franco-Salvadoran company, and Tracia Network of Guatemala.
