El Salvador launches Bósforo II

AES El Salvador and Guatemala-based Corporación Multi Inversiones launched the second phase of the Bósforo project in the department of Usulután.

Bósforo II will generate 10 megawatts of solar power, with the capacity to supply electricity for 37,000 homes.

Investment in the plant comes to $16 million. The project includes a sub-station that converts the power for transmission into the national grid, La Prensa Gráfica reports in Spanish.
