El Salvador’s iconic beers have new owner

Suprema and Regia, El Salvador’s iconic beers, have a new owner, approved by the competition authority. The previous owner was Industrias La Constancia.

The sale emerged by a resolution of the authority on the mega merger of SABMiller and Anheuser-Busch. In El Salvador, La Constancia as the SABMiller affiliate.

The new owner of Regia and Suprema is Cervecería Salvadoreña, which was founded last year and is of Salvadoran and Guatemalan capital.
