Tuesday, September 2, 2014

Salvadoran authorities are set to tender the concession of La Unión port on Thursday this week.
The port's operator, CEPA, has pre-qualified four companies for the project: Chile's Saam Puertos, Spain's Group Maritime TCB, Philippines-based International Container Terminal Services and France's Bolloré Port and Logistics.
The Salvadoran government aims to make La Unión a development hotspot, as currently the region has the highest level of unemployment in the country.
