Central America will grow by an average of 4 percent this year, the International Monetary Fund said.
The growth will be driven by external growth and remittances from the region’s emigrants, as well as Panama, it added.
Panama will grow by 7.4 percent this year, Costa Rica by 4.3 percent, Honduras and Nicaragua 3.5 percent, Guatemala 3 percent, and El Salvador by 2.5 percent.
