European firms eye investment in the region

European companies from the energy, eco-tourism and construction are eyeing projects in Central America, according to the ex-commissioner for the European Union in Latin America, Tomás Abadía.
The companies are interested mainly in Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica and Chile.
Abadía said most of the companies are French, British and Belgian.
