Fitch confirms Panama's BBB risk rating

Fitch Ratings maintained Panama's 'BBB' risk rating.

Fitch praised the country's strong economic performance , which has raised income per capita to reach the same levels as other countries with a 'BBB' rating.

"The fast reduction of debt as a percentage of gross domestic product, boosted by robust growth, as well as moderate fiscal deficits, supported the rating" Fitch added.
