Fund sees brightest prospects for years

Central America is facing conditions in the world economy that are “better than they have been in years”, a senior International Monetary Fund official said.

Mitsuhiro Furusawa, deputy managing director of the Fund, also said, however, that the region needs to reduce poverty levels as a matter of urgency.
