Global Competitiveness Report highlights Central American shortcomings

Central America must step up its efforst to reduce red tape, corruption and insecurity, the main negative factors that impede the region’s progress, according to the Global Competitiveness Report of the World Economic Forum.

Panama and Costa Rica achieved relatively high ratings but Nicaragua and El Salvador did badly in the ranking.
