Guatemala and United States criticize agreement

Labor syndicates from Guatemala and the United States have criticized a plan agreed by both countries last April to analyze a labor law infringement in Guatemala.
Both countries through a joint statement asked for the process to be renewed.
The arbitration team, established in 2011 by the United States, should be renewed due to "consistent failure from Guatemala to effectively apply Cafta labor laws," the statement said.
