Guatemala concerned over Europe accord

Guatemala's government and private sector are concerned over the delay in the implementation of the association agreement with Europe.

Both sectors are also worried that the country's Generalized System of Preferences with Europe comes to an end in December this year.

Guatemala's Economy Minister, Sergio de la Torre, will travel to Europe to urge authorities to find a solution to the geographical indication issue which is preventing the implementation of the accord.
