Guatemala energy project lures 87 firms

Guatemalan authorities said 87 companies have presented their proposals for a 250-Megawatt electricity project.

The tender for the project will be carried out next week, and the winning company will have to begin delivering the energy by May 2017.

Under the rules of the tender, more than half of the companies can offer renewable sources.
