Guatemala's online sales up 23 percent this year

Guatemala's online sales have grown 23 percent this year, totalling $80 million, according to Jorge Gómez, representative of the Latin American courier companies' federation.

Last year, online sales in the country reached $65 million.

According to Gómez, 3.3 percent of Guatemala's 15 million inhabitants buy online, mostly in the capital.
