Honduran workers in protest against rising prices. Minimum wage of $332 is not enough for living costs, unions say

Leading labor organizations in Honduras are protesting today against increases in prices of basic consumer goods and services, as well as unemployment.

All three top trade union movements are asking the government to punish intermediaries and shopkeepers that charge excessive prices.

The national minimum wage of $332 is not enough to pay for even 30 percent of the cost of basic consumer goods, they add.
