Honduras and Nicaragua buck coffee sales slump

Coffee exports by Latin American producing countries, except for Brazil, were collectively 10.92 percent down during the first nine months of the current crop year, compared with the same period a year earlier.
The Guatemalan coffee association Anacafé reported that exports of Mexico, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica totaled more than 18 million 60- kilo bags this year. Only Honduras (13.79 percent) and Nicaragua
(29.75 percent) showed increases in exports.
