Honduras earns $1.24 billion coffee bonanza

The 2010-2011 coffee harvest in Honduras will close on Friday with record results.
Preliminary results from the national coffee institute, Ihcafé, point to earnings of $1.24 billion from exports of 5.05 million 46-kilo bags.
The current record stands at 4.1 million bags and earnings of $605.6 million. The coffee year runs from October 1 to September 30.
