Honduras registered a 14 percent trade gap, valued at $2.6 billion, in the first six months of the year.
The principal cause was the increase in raw materials, mainly oil, and capital goods.
Exports were down by 2.7 percent to $2.5 billion. However, imports surged by 9.5 percent to $5.1 billion.
