Honduras to head World Trade Organization accord on intellectual rights

Honduras will head the World Trade Organization's (WTO) Agreement on Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) council for one year.

The council supervises the implementation of the agreement and offers consultation regarding intellectual property rights in trade.

The Honduran ambassador to the WTO, Dacio Castillo, will lead the council. It will be the first time in which Honduras will lead a WTO council.
