López Obrador dynamites Mexico's City's mega-airport
Monday, October 29, 2018
Mexico's president-elect has stuck a stick of dynamite into the pet project of his predecessor Enrique Peña Nieto -- the $13 billion mega-airport planned that is already partly built.
The decision was taken in a "citizens poll" that lasted four days amid allegations of disorganization and claims the several people voted more than once.
Only just over one million voters -- less than 1 percent of the population -- took part after several weeks of hotly contested debate.
