López Obrador's team checks out Mexican oil contracts

Tuesday, August 7, 2018

The Mexican transition team led by president-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador has begun to revise the oil contracts signed under the energy reform of current President Enrique Peña Nieto.

Officials of the current government are not happy about the review. They say that all the contracts have been made totally transparent.

But Rocío Nahle, named by López Obrador to be the future Energy Secretary, says the review will last at least until December.
