New tourism minister aims to make Costa Rica a hub for business conferences

Allan Flores, Costa Rica’s tourism minister, took over last April, but has previous experience in the post.

In an interview, Flores says that developing small businesses by offering support to private investors is key to growth.

He has also launched campaigns to attract new airlines and create infrastructure to make Costa Rica a conference center hub.
