Nicaragua boosts foreign investment attraction

Nicaragua has boosted its attraction of foreign investment in the past five years.

According to unofficial forecasts by the country's investment promotion agency, ProNicaragua, last year foreign investment reached a record-breaking $1.5 billion.

The figure puts Nicaragua as the third country in Central America in foreign investment, and is 55th out of 189 in this year's Doing Business ranking by the World Bank.
