Nicaragua's coffee exports up 17 percent in July

Coffee exports from Nicaragua climbed 17 percent last month from a year earlier, according to the country’s Center for Export Procedures, known as Cetrex.

Shipments totalled about 146,823 bags of 60 kilograms in July, up from 125,787 bags in the same period last year, Cetrex said in a report.

Nicaragua will produce 1.6 million bags of coffee in the 2011-2012 season that ends on September 30, data from the US Department of Agriculture show.
