Nicaraguan sugar faces bitter future
Monday, October 13, 2014
Nicaragua's 2014-2015 sugar harvesting season is facing a challenging future.
Among the situations that could hit production are a diminished sugar cane harvest as a result of drought, and lower international prices.
These situations threaten to put a brake on the country's sugar industry growth from the past years, and has already caused a pause in investment aimed at increasing production.
