Opponents hold up large Costa Rican projects

Large infrastructure projects in Costa Rica have been stalled due to opposition groups claiming they affect aspects such as the environment, Costa Rican daily La República reported.
Among them, the most important are a 2-kilometer road and a mega port in Moín, which a court temporarily paused after opposition groups claimed they would harm the environment.
Stopping the two Moín projects could cost the country a $1-billion investment that would allow for increased trade.
