Ormat signs $125 million loan agreement for Honduras power plant

Israeli geothermal energy company Ormat Technologies has reported that its Platanares project subsidiary signed an agreement to provide a loan (on a non-recourse project finance basis) of up to $124.7 million for the 35 MW Platanares geothermal power plant in Honduras.
The lender is the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, the US government’s development finance institution.
